National Hero

 One of the most respected individuals in Philippine history is José Rizal (1861–1896). Known for his political writings that sparked the Philippine Revolution and finally resulted in his execution by the Spanish invaders, he was a versatile philosopher and political activist. 

As the national hero of the Philippines, Rizal has come to represent the country's struggle for freedom. In the Philippines, December 30, the anniversary of Rizal's execution in 1896, is observed as a national holiday. In 1919, the Jose Rizal College was established in his honor in Manila.

Jose Rizal fought for independence in a modest but successful way, which helped him become the national hero of the Philippines. He expressed his passion for the Philippines via books, essays, and articles rather than through violence or animosity. For his time, he was a truly exceptional person. He was a modest man who would sooner use his voice to advocate for advancements than to instigate a revolution. Instead of acting in a violent way, he made more peaceful use of his intelligence, talents, and abilities. This essay will examine Jose Rizal's life by summarizing, debating, and analyzing his contributions to society and personal life.
