Valentine's Day. Every February, it arrives with a tidal wave of things in shades of pink, red, and heart shapes. However, let's face it—this holiday can elicit conflicting emotions. It's a wonderful day for some people to celebrate love with that someone special. Romance embodied in candlelit meals, expensive roses, and corny cards.
For others, it's a manufactured sentiment day filled with pressure. The continual reminders of coupledom can increase the feeling of singledom. The stress of trying to select the "perfect" gift is another story entirely!
Recall that Valentine's Day is only a single day. Our words and deeds are the year-round expressions of true love and connection. Thus, let's make it a point to show our loved ones warmth, thanks, and appreciation on a daily basis.
